PERFORMANCES

(Plays flute/piccolo, alto/bari sax, traverso, schakuhachi, Arabic and Turkish ney, Bulgarian kaval, North and South Indian flute,  and electronics)

 

 

Tours alongside Brian Harnetty through France, Italy, Benelux and Germany this coming March 13 - 25. Plays the premeir of The Package Store at the Stone in NY city on 24.11.2009. Performed on 20.10.2009 at the opening of the exhibition of artist Henry Stoeker's work at Gallery Parterre in Prenzlauer Berg, Berlin. Played 'Ordinary Music' Vol. 22 and Vol. 13 by Nikolaus Gerszewski at K77 in Prenzlauer Berg, Berlin on 14.08.2009. Gave the European premeir of Tunebook at Ausland in Berlin in February 2009. Performed in Meg Stuart's Task Factory and collaborated with Stefanie Maher in Getting Off Nr. 2 on the Politics of Ecstasy festival improvisation series at the HAU in Kreuzberg in Jan 2009. Performed as Duo The Fatty Acids on flutes with Guido Henneboehl on Electronics, also on the Politics of Ecstasy and at club Tannenbaum in Kreuzberg, July 11, 2008.  Performed as flutist and Saxophonist with the Hypnotheatre (see http://www.hypnotheatre.com/ ) in their new production Diamantina Deep, which premiered at the Reykjavik Opera Hause on May 20, 2008 and ran for 2 weeks all over Iceland.  Played with Jeremy Wade and Brendan Dougherty's Speller at HAU3 in Berlin in April 2007.  Played the premeire of For Flute Solo in "Konzertreihe Eric/k" at Ausland, 09.02.2007 and at Exploratorium, 11.02.2007, Berlin.  Gave several world premeirs at the "Chop Shop" concert series in Kreuzberg, Berlin August 2006.  Premeired Paula Matthuson's Filling Vessels at the Universität der Kunst Berlin, July 2006 and at the ZKM in Karlsruhe in July 2007.  Member of the KGB-Orchestra, Berlin since April 2006; performed alongside Richard Barrett at Zentraler Randlage in Prenzlauer Berg, Berlin.  Performed Dwellings at the Sleeping Dogs Gallery in Berlin Dec. 2005.  Performed with Magda Mayas and Jennifer Walshe at the Exploratorium Berlin in Nov. 2005. Recorded with Ari Meyers and the Redux Orchestra, November 2006. 

 

Co-founder and performer with ensemble Decibel, performances in 2004 included: the York Festival, at the Leeds College of Music and at the Warehouse in London on the "Cutting Edge" Series, performances in 2003: at the Project Art Space in Dublin, Ireland, and the BANG festival and elsewhere in Belfast.

 

Past performances include recitals of new music in the Dukes Hall at the Royal Academy of Music, at the British Music Information Centre, performances of the Jacky Lansly ballet BIRD which played in the Purcell room, Queen Elizabeth Hall, and at colleges in London, Winchester and Portsmouth.  Also performed with The Living Score Theatre at the RAM and at the Royal College of Art, in London.  Throughout the 90s was active as a flutist and saxophonist in bands and ensembles in Boston playing in clubs and at Universities throughout New England and NY, appearing with the legendary ska group The Allstonians and the BU/Brandeis New Music Collective, among others.
